Role Description:
Assistant Director of Admissions, Student Recruitment, New Delhi
The ADA, Student Recruitment, North Region based in New Delhi is tasked with spearheading the recruitment efforts for Texila American University College of Medicine - Guyana (TAU) within the specified region. The primary objectives include establishing and nurturing relationships with agents, feeder schools, and direct networks, coordinating events and information sessions, and managing campaigns to promote TAU. The role involves working closely with the Regional Director to achieve conversion and turnaround time goals, contributing to overall recruitment targets in North Region. Additionally, the ADA will collaborate with colleagues across the organization, manage the application process, provide counseling services to parents and students, and deliver regular reports on market updates and performance against targets. Success in this role is measured by achieving individual and team recruitment targets, conversions, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and efficiency in collaboration with the Regional Director. The ADA will work in a positive, creative, and collaborative environment, with extensive travel across North Region and designated regions and cities, and occasional weekend work during peak periods. The ideal candidate possesses 6-12 years of experience in the international education industry, with a strong background in student recruitment, excellent communication and networking skills, and a track record of success in meeting recruitment targets.
Essential Functions
- Champion and lead the recruitment efforts for TAU from agents, feeder schools, and direct networks.
- Coordinate with the Regional Director on agent fairs, school events, and direct recruitment and information sessions to initiate and attend.
- Build an agent and school feeder network with frequent visits in the designated region to maintain relationships and establish new partner contacts at key levels.
- Coordinate ensuing marketing and sales campaigns/activity (together with TAU Marketing Team), attending agent and school exhibitions, info sessions, and general promotional activity as required, including direct recruitment.
- Support recruitment needs by visiting and supporting agents and schools when required.
- Conduct call-back calls to existing leads, cold calling of new leads, and accurate reporting on CRM.
- Contribute to the recruitment team effort across North Region where required, and when there is a periodic need or shortage of staff, helping in multiple channels as required.
- Work in close partnership with the Regional Director, Student Recruitment, North Region to ultimately achieve and improve conversions and turn-around times in all main channels, achieving the main KPI of reaching personal goals and contributing to the overall targets in North Region - from all channels.
- Work closely with colleagues in North Region to achieve their own recruitment targets.
- Manage the initial application process in the specified region, and in close association with the Admissions Officers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process always, via CRM.
- Counsel and meet parents/students from agents, feeder schools, and direct networks.
- Attend agent and school exhibitions (recruitment events), providing professional educational advice and counselling services to agents, parents, and students.
- Provide regular monthly reports to the Regional Director and market updates and performance updates against targets.
- Provide market research, feedback, and analysis to inform key activities in the designated market.
- Build strong relationships with TAU functional areas (admissions, sales, marketing, academic) to ensure the highest levels of customer service, efficiency, and problem resolution. Ensure local information on Medical Associations, rules, and regulations is current and to therefore update TAU functional areas and line ADA.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Student recruitment background or related (example: Higher Education Admissions).
- Sales experience in general.
- Demonstrable sales & commercial skills.
- Knowledge of agent and/or international school recruitment.
- Experience of working within an international environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience dealing directly with a wide variety of people including students, parents, education agents, and institutions.
- Ability to make connections and good networking skills.
- Able to work independently and as a team player, with a high level of initiative and professionalism.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and thrive under pressure.

Qualifications
- Degree Educated.
- Fluent in English.
- 6-12 years working in the international higher education industry and recruitment.

Hours and Travel
- Extensive travel will be required across North Region and designated regions and cities.
