We invite applications for the role of

Design Consultant

for Mountains of Life. Mountains of Life, an endeavor spearheaded by

Azim Premji University , marks the third installment in our series dedicated to promoting awareness of nature and climate, following the successes of Rivers of Life and Forests of Life. As part of the Mountains of Life festival, we invite you to contribute to its visual and creative aspects, infusing design thinking into communication materials and outreach efforts. In this position, you will collaborate with the ​‘Mountains of Life’ team to visually depict the objectives of the program, taking cues from the Rivers of Life and Forests of Life. Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for, Graphic Design: Create visually captivating graphics, infographics, and illustrations to effectively convey key messages and research findings pertaining to mountain ecosystems Design promotional materials for events, workshops, and outreach programs in collaboration with program coordinators Design visually appealing presentations, reports, and digital materials to enhance the program’s online presence Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with researchers and community engagement team to understand design requirements for various projects Effectively convey design concepts and integrate feedback to enhance and refine visual elements Photography and Videography: Capture high-quality photographs and videos during field expeditions, community events, and research activities Edit and organize visual content to create compelling narratives that are in line with the goals of this initiative

Requirements Current enrollment in a design-related degree program (Graphic Design, Visual Communication, etc.) Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Passion for environmental conservation and sustainable practices Knowledge of photography and videography
