Job description
The Audit Practices Team within AllianceBernstein s Internal Audit Department (IAD) drives strategic initiatives and oversees key audit processes such as Quality Assurance Improvement Program (QAIP), audit methodology, annual audit planning process, expense management, audit system administration and talent development
The successful candidate will:
Development and maintenance, best practice benchmarking, KPI development and reporting
Maintain audit methodology policies and procedures, identify and implement audit best practices, processes and strategy, and present opportunities for improvement
Identify mandated procedures through ongoing, comprehensive analysis of relevant professional standards and supervisory guidance, and serve as an educator to IAD (and the firm as required) on IIA Standards and Audit Policies and Procedures, COSO, etc.
Oversee and participate in the execution of AB s QAIP, including audit plan and workpaper quality assurance reviews, execution of Internal Quality Assurance reviews, and management of External Quality Assurance review.
Develop the training strategy, including In-house training, including development of new hire training program, training new staff on IA Audit Policies and Procedures, as well as the coordination of Vendor On-Site Training, Guest Speakers, Peer Training and Audit Spotlight
Effectively lead the completion of in-flight workpaper reviews and the communication of review feedback
Manage the implementation of audit system changes and developments, in conjunction with developers and business analysts
Monitor and track departmental expenses, CPE requirements, post-audit evaluations, audit survey responses, etc.
Perform admin tasks as deemed necessary by the CAE, including setting up annual planning meetings, staff meetings, etc.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining and adjusting the audit methodology
Driving the strategy and execution of the QAIP
Serving as change-agent in continuous improvement program and lead initiatives to maintain a best-in-class audit function
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree
5+ years experience in related role with internal audit methodology and internal audit quality assurance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
CIA, CISA and/or CPA or equivalent qualification
Self-motivated, detail oriented
Ability to effectively prioritize projects
Ability to effectively receive and convey information
