The Marine Department of COWI, India is undertaking projects from both international and domestic markets and offers a comprehensive range of consulting services related to the development of ports, harbors, and coastal and marine structures. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and offer support to colleagues working on other infrastructure projects such as tunnels and bridges globally. COWI Marine department supports their clients in drawing a detailed picture of any consequences on the built and natural environment arising from the development/installation of any port, marine, or coastal project.
A POSITION THAT WILL PUSH YOUR DEVELOPMENT FURTHER
In this position, you will join our global team of experts and work closely with specialists, your tasks in our team will be leading digitalization initiatives in innovative ways on projects.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Assist in the development of new tools and customization options to enhance interoperability between the engineering and BIM tools.
- Work with digital teams to identify, research, and develop API/Web development alongside other tools.
- Engage extensively in C#/Python/Parametrization developments.
- Provide assistance and expertise in Grasshopper for parametric design tasks,
- Generate process maps to streamline understanding of proposed design workflows, thereby optimizing project efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with digital experts within COWI across geographies.

To succeed in this position, we believe that you work independently and have the overview to plan, manage and complete your projects and tasks & follow a structured and detail-oriented work approach with a focus on quality.
Furthermore, you should:
- Hold a B. Tech degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or a BCA/MCA, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in developing or administering digital workflows.
- Preferable work experience in core engineering-based solutions.
- Possess extensive working knowledge of API-compatible programming languages such as JavaScript, ASP .NET Core, C#, and Python.
- Demonstrate proficiency in SQL Database creation and administration on platforms like Microsoft SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in Grasshopper software for parametric design and computational modeling is preferable.
- Experience in 3D modeling/parametrization of steel/concrete structures in Tekla /Revit, will be an advantage.
- Display innovation and the ability to generate creative solutions to bridge the gap between FEM analysis applications and BIM design applications.
- Must be tech-savvy, eager to collaborate in a team environment, and possess a perpetual willingness to learn on the job.
