Job Summary :
The job summary of a Business Development Manager in the UAE / UK travel market involves leading and executing business development strategies to expand the company's presence and drive growth in the UAE / UK travel industry. The primary objective is to establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, secure new business opportunities, and increase revenue.
Daily :
- Conducting ongoing research and analysis of the UAE / UK travel market, including trends, customer preferences, competitive landscape, and industry developments.
- Identifying and prospecting potential clients within the UAE / UK travel market through various channels such as cold calling, networking events, online platforms, and referrals
- Tracking and analysing sales performance, monitoring key metrics, and preparing regular reports on sales activities, revenue projections, and market trends. Providing insights and recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.
- Staying updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and relevant regulations in the UAE / UK travel market.
- Performance Review and Goal Setting: Set weekly targets and review progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyse sales metrics, evaluate successes and challenges, and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve weekly targets.
Weekly :
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Dedicate time to identifying and researching potential clients and leads within the UAE / UK travel market.
- Client Meetings and Presentations: Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective clients to understand their needs, present the company's offerings, and showcase the value proposition.
- Follow-up and Relationship Building: Follow up with prospective clients after initial meetings, providing additional information, answering queries, and nurturing relationships.
- Proposal Development and Submission: Allocate time for developing comprehensive proposals, including pricing, service offerings, and terms and conditions.
- Ensure timely submission of proposals and actively engage in negotiations to secure new contracts.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and operations to align strategies and ensure smooth coordination for effective service delivery.
Monthly :
- Business Development Strategy Review: Evaluate the effectiveness of existing business development strategies and initiatives in the UAE / UK travel market.
- Sales Target Planning: Collaborate with the sales team and senior management to establish monthly sales targets aligned with the overall business goals.
- Break down the targets into achievable milestones and communicate them to the team for focus and motivation.
- Lead Conversion and Deal Closing: Continuously work on converting qualified leads into actual sales.
Quarterly :
- Continuous Professional Development: Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices through participation in relevant conferences, workshops, or training programs.
- Continuously enhance knowledge and skills in business development, sales techniques, and the UK travel market to stay competitive.

Industry Networking and Participation: Engage in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand professional networks, stay updated on industry trends, and build brand visibility.
Education :
1)Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or similar.
Experience
2) A strong background in the travel industry is highly desirable. Experience working in the UAE / UK travel market specifically is advantageous as it demonstrates an understanding of the market dynamics, customer preferences, and industry regulations.
3) Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing is essential. The candidate should have a track record of successfully identifying and closing business opportunities, building client relationships, and achieving sales targets.
4) In-depth knowledge of the UAE / UK travel market is crucial. This includes understanding the competitive landscape, industry trends, consumer behaviour, and regulatory requirements specific to the region. Familiarity with local travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, airlines, and other industry stakeholders is beneficial.
