Summary: As the Director of Software Engineering at our India branch, you will serve as a "playing coach" and a site leader, actively engaging in both technical work and leadership responsibilities. Your role will be critical in guiding the team through essential transformations and ensuring timely and valuable delivery of software solutions. You will be a key ally for the Directors of SRE and Product, collaborating closely to achieve strategic goals.
Responsibilities: ● Actively participate in coding and technical activities while leading and mentoring the development team. ● Drive essential transformations within the team, optimizing processes for efficiency and success. ● Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality software solutions, meeting both technical and business requirements. ● Build strong, collaborative relationships with the Directors of SRE and Product, acting as their go-to partner for engineering execution. ● Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. ● Represent the India branch engineering team in strategic discussions, ensuring alignment with global objectives. ● Advocate for and implement best practices in software development, setting high standards for code quality, testing, and documentation. Qualifications: ● Minimum of 5 years of experience in a software engineering leadership role, with hands-on technical expertise. ● Demonstrated experience in leading teams through significant transformations and achieving successful outcomes. ● Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of software development processes and methodologies. ● Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring and guiding teams. ● Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional leaders. ● Agile, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
