Job description
Responsibilities
Strategic Roles & Responsibilities: - Coordination & assist shift manager for various operational activities in safe & efficient manner.
Operational Responsibilities - Tank and pipeline planning for import / export vessel line up activities in Tank farm and pump house area
- Safe dock line and tank line-ups for import and export operations
- Storage tanks cleaning and readiness for upcoming vessels as per tentative vessel operation plan.
- OWS and Slop tank operations as per plan.
- Supervision and coordination with engineering team / Project Team / etc on regular basis for healthiness of dock line storing tanks and loading & unloading pumps valves & other associated equipment/instruments and supervision for any critical activity job for new projects / any modifications.
- Cleaning of dock line, bypass line and associated flexible hoses as per operational plan up to pump house manifolds.
- Execution of dock line readiness & inspection with party nominated surveyor as per operational plan.
- Responsible for cleaning of suction line, delivery and recirculation lines with associated pumps and valves as per operational plan up.
- Execution of drying and readiness of storage tanks with associated pipelines in tank farm & pump house with physical checking/inspection with party nominated surveyor.
- Safe operation of Petroleum products, hazardous Chemicals and Veg oil liquid cargos etc.
- Readiness of flexible hoses and safe connections with dock line and tank inlet line at pump house manifolds.
- Safe placement of vessel manifolds as per bollard planning.
- Coordinate with engineering team for require pressure of Instrument Air /N2 in service line.
- Handling of specific products like Bitumen Ship to browsers operation.
- Adherence to all safety norms of the company in LT operations
- Toolbox Talk before start of activity at jetty area.
- Housekeeping at workplace including foam pig stations and manifold area. Keep all the tools & tackles at designated place after use.
- Execution of jobs as per Permit to Work System.
- Compliances of findings of various internal / external inspection /audits.
- Effective participation in monthly departmental safety activities, Safety Interactions, safety Observations and compliances.
People Management - Responsible for optimum manpower distribution as per operational activity.
- Responsible to train new people – Subordinates and Contract staff for day to day operational activities in line with laid SOP and safety procedures.
- Responsible to ensure participation of self, Subordinates and Contract staffs in various department / port level activities like Mock drills, Safety –Road – Fire – Environment week celebrations.
- Coordination with internal stakeholders like Engineering Team, Projects Team, etc.
Qualifications Educational Qualification: B.E / B.Tech / Diploma / B.Sc. / M.Sc. Experiences Minimum 2 years of relevant experience for B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Diploma / B.Sc.
Experience of handling Terminal operations with refinery/petrochemical/Chemical process company (preferable)
Experience of handling operations related to hazardous chemicals/liquids in previous assignments.
