Job description

The Telegraph Online is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to join its dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative individual with 1-5 years of experience, and while news experience is preferable, it is not mandatory.

Summary of the Role:

As a Graphic Designer at The Telegraph Online, you will be at the forefront of creating visually impactful and compelling designs for our digital news platform. Collaborating closely with editorial and multimedia teams, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the visual storytelling of news articles. Candidates with video editing skills will be preferred.

Responsibilities:

Design engaging graphics and visuals to accompany news articles and multimedia content. ●

Collaborate with editorial teams to understand the visual requirements of diverse news stories. ●

Ensure all graphics adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive and recognizable visual identity. ●

Stay informed about current events and trends to create timely and relevant visual content. ●

Work collaboratively with digital and editorial teams to optimize graphics for online platforms. ●

Adapt to evolving news stories, demonstrating flexibility in design approach and quick turnarounds. ●

Video editing.

Qualifications:

●

1-5 years of experience as a Graphic Designer. ●

Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and relevant work, preferably in the news or media industry. ●

Proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). ●

Knowledge of current design trends and a keen eye for visual storytelling. ●

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. ●

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
