Looking for a highly skilled infrastructure engineer who can design, deploy, improve and automate global IT infrastructure and application solutions in both on-prem data centers and cloud to meet the requirements from 20,000 internal customers, and collaborate with IT partner teams to deliver cutting-edge infrastructure services and observability solutions helping to boost productivity, stability, performance and reliability of our infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive automation strategy for the IT infrastructure, aligning with the organization's technology goals and business objectives.
- Drive the design, development, and deployment of orchestration solutions to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Drive the design, development and deployment of automation tools and processes to support infrastructure observability platform and configuration management databases (CMDB) workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
- Provide technical expertise in automation technologies, tools, and best practices to guide the implementation of automation initiatives.
- Supervise a team of automation engineers and specialists providing mentorship, training and performance evaluation.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Research, evaluate, and select automation tools and platforms that align with the organization's technology strategy and automation goals.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of automation solutions and make necessary adjustments to optimize outcomes.
Requirements: - Proven experience in IT infrastructure automation, including designing and implementing automation solutions.
- Fully proficient with Python programming, with knowledge of PowerShell and/or bash scripting.
- Sound knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies, including automation tools and configuration management tools and container orchestration tools such as Airflow, GitLab, Ansible, Kubernetes, Flux CD and etc.
- Demonstrate exceptional technical leadership and project management skills, ability to initiate, plan, drive and execute projects proactively.
- Leadership experience, including team management, mentorship, and performance evaluation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify automation opportunities and optimize processes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
- Certifications in relevant automation technologies (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are desirable.
- Exceptional knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies.
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field, with 8+ years of related experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to create documentation for spec, design, and standard operation procedures.
