The Digital Labs Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Specialist will be the go-to person for managing and monitoring our Zephyr data/EDI service. This position will work closely with our clients to ensure exceptional customer service and support. This includes the onboarding of new customers and trading partners and the configuration and development of new trading partner document processes.

This position will be responsible for managing multiple tasks at a time, communicating effectively with clients and team members, and quickly resolving any issues that come up.

The EDI Specialist is a natural problem-solver who is looking for ways to innovate and improve. A successful candidate is someone who is enthusiastic, creative, and willing to learn.

Job Duties

Tracks and reports on all ongoing EDI projects Participates in monthly billing and revenue reporting. Creates new customer/projects in BDO’s accounting system Ensures all in-bound customer and vendor requests are documented and processed in a timely manner Maintains extensive knowledgebase, documents troubleshooting and logs review processes Escalates issues, as necessary and makes sure they are followed through to resolution Performs software development/testing projects, as assigned Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities Training and management of entry level support staff

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field from an accredited university, required

Experience Two (2) or more years of experience in customer and application support, required One (1) or more years of experience with help desk processes and procedures, preferred One (1) or more years’ experience with Java, SQL and Microsoft SQL Server, preferred One (1) or more years’ experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), X12, preferred One (1) or more years’ experience with AS2 server configuration and administration, preferred One (1) or more years’ experience developing with Eclipse, Spring Framework or Hibernate, preferred One (1) or more years exposure to software solutions, business operations, etc., preferred

Software Microsoft operating systems and suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) especially Excel, required Java, Eclipse, and Microsoft SQL Server, preferred Linux operating system and administration utilities, preferred
