Overview:
As an HR Manager at Smartifai, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's culture and ensuring smooth HR operations. Your responsibilities will encompass employee engagement, collaboration with various stakeholders within the organization, and maintaining HR records while ensuring compliance with labour laws. Your strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail will be essential in this role.
Position: HR Manager
Location: Bangalore, India (In-office role)
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Across Six Business Divisions:
- Lead and provide HR support to six distinct business divisions within the company.
- Collaborate with division heads to align HR initiatives with specific business goals and needs.
Employee Engagement and Culture Building:
- Develop and drive the company's culture and values.
- Plan and schedule engagement activities to foster a positive work environment.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Manage employee social committee meetings and proposals.
- Project manage social events to enhance employee engagement.
HR Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including Employee Management, Records, Payroll, Onboarding, Orientation, Grievance handling, and Employee training and development.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and prepare HR reports.
- Ensure data integrity across HR systems and repositories.
- Handle employee records in compliance with local regulations and guidelines.
- Prepare HR-related employee documents such as offers of employment.
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Own and streamline employee onboarding and offboarding programs.
- Act as the point of contact for new hire onboarding.
- Conduct exit interviews and use insights to improve processes.
Compliance and Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with regional HR leadership to update HR policies as needed.
- Assist with compliance with various state and local ordinances and reporting requirements.
HR Systems and Analytics:
- Manage and update HR systems and tools.
- Run ad hoc HR data analytics reports accurately and on time.
- Provide support for relocation cases.
- Stay updated with the latest HR trends and best practices.
Leadership and Communication:
- Exhibit strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of HR information.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and HR-related inquiries.
Strategic Thinking:
- Develop long-term HR plans aligned with the organization's overall business strategy.
- Analyze organizational and individual needs to create cost-effective HR compensation plans.
What You'll Do:
- Act as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, including benefits, leaves, and retirement savings questions.
- Maintain employee records in compliance with local regulations in India.
- Collaborate with regional HR leadership to update HR policies and stay current with relevant HR and employment law legislation.
- Ensure data accuracy in HR systems and repositories.
- Prepare HR-related employee documents and conduct exit interviews.
- Coordinate employee social committee meetings and oversee social events.
- Support process improvement strategies leveraging technology and data.
- Assist regional HR leadership on key HR projects.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in HR (2 - 3 years), including HR administration, policy management, and employee engagement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and align HR initiatives with business goals.
- Experience with HR systems and data analytics.
- Understanding of the role of HR within an operations structure.
- Experience in dealing with a contingent workforce is advantageous.
- High integrity, proactive initiative, and excellent judgment.
