Job description
Worley is a well-known global company that offers professional project and asset services in the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors. We are currently looking for highly skilled and experienced Process Design Engineers who have worked in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry to join our team in Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, India. As a Process Design Engineer, your role will be vital in developing and implementing process design activities for onshore and offshore projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and clients, to deliver high-quality engineering solutions within specified timelines and budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities: Conduct process design calculations, simulations, and modelling using industry-standard software tools. Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications. Perform process equipment sizing, hydraulic and heat exchanger design, and pressure relief calculations. Evaluate and optimize process design alternatives to ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards and regulations. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate process design with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation designs. Participate in project meetings, reviews, and technical discussions with clients and stakeholders. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Process Design Engineer in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry. Strong knowledge of process engineering principles, including process simulation, mass and energy balance, and equipment design. Proficiency in industry-standard process design software such as Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, or similar tools. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO) applicable to oil and gas or petrochemical projects. Experience in onshore and offshore projects is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
