Job description
Supply Chain Management: - Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing:
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for commodities, including casting, plastics, and fabrication.
- Identify and onboard suppliers that align with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and collaborate with vendors to improve efficiency and quality.
- Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring clear terms related to pricing, lead times, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize contractual agreements.
- Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to establish and communicate quality standards for commodities.
- Implement processes to monitor and ensure suppliers meet or exceed quality requirements.
- Cost Optimization:
- Continuously work to optimize costs through negotiation, value engineering, and process improvements.
- Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
- Supply Chain Planning:
- Develop and implement supply chain plans to meet production schedules and customer demand.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and demand planning teams to optimize overall supply chain efficiency.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain related to commodities, including casting, plastics, and fabrication.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular team assessments, set performance goals, and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, specifically in commodities like casting, plastics, and fabrication.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain planning, procurement processes, and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with casting, plastics, and fabrication processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
