Role Description This is an on-site, full-time role for a Hydrology & Water Resource Engineer located in Chennai. The Hydrology & Water Resource Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing water resource engineering solutions and conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for both natural and man-made systems. They will also maintain records and prepare technical reports related to water resource engineering projects. Qualifications Bachelor's or higher degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, with a focus on hydrology and water resources Strong knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and SWMM Experience conducting surface and groundwater hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, including watershed delineations, floodplain and floodway mapping, and stormwater management Familiarity with GIS software and applications related to water resource engineering Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to water resource engineering projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively on project teams Vitya Consultants Pvt Ltd is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability, or any other protected status.Job tags
