Role Title : Application Development Manager Role Title : App Dev Manager Position Summary: As an App Dev Senior Manager, lead the team to design, architect and deliver large-scale software applications, services or technologies, and bring powerful health services, capabilities, and solutions harnessing the power of AI and machine learning. As a key leader in the organization you will have the opportunity to work directly with partner IT and business teams, owning and driving major deliverables across all aspects of software delivery and build solutions to champion affordable, predictable, and simple health care. Job Description & Responsibilities: Build a best-in-class engineering team that delivers excellent results through rapid iterations. Work with product management and cross functional teams to provide technical solutions for desired user experiences. Provide hands-on technical leadership to the team, including your own code contributions. Define detailed technical requirements from high level product descriptions and enable your team to do the same. Drive and facilitate innovation within the team. Monitor, drive and facilitate individual growth of your teams’ individual contributors. Build, manage, and develop world-class engineers including hiring recommendations and guide and mentor engineers. Ensure high quality design reviews which meet business and architectural goals and drive critical feedback on architecture and design issues. Participate in strategic planning to achieve technical and business alignment with team, leadership chain, and with customers. Drives solution end-to-end, inclusive of partner delivery organizations. Coordinates design impacts appropriately with enterprise architecture and solution design peer groups. Experience Required: 9+ years of software development experience including design patterns, data structures, test driven development utilizing Java / .Net, Python, or full stack JavaScript. Experience Desired: Experience designing software architectures for scalability, reliability and performance. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Experience with the SCRUM methodology for agile software development. Knowledge of Pega BPM or AWS step functions or other business process management solutions are desirable Education and Training Required: Prior experience as a software developer or software development manager. Primary Skills: Deep hands-on technical expertise in cloud based distributed software design and development. Additional Skills: Experience with back-end distributed systems.
