is looking for a

Manager

for our

Mumbai

location. The individual will join our client servicing team to work in our

Consumer

Practice . This Practice is part of the

Brands, Sports and Entertainment

practice that services client in Beauty, Sports, FMCG, Lifestyle, Entertainment, Food and Beverage, Luxury, Fashion and Consumer Sector. The team works with some of the leading players in the industry.

The

Manager

will be responsible to represent their team to both clients and senior management and is ultimately responsible for delivering quality client programs on time and within budget. He/She will also be expected to play an active role in new business development with a key focus on growing existing accounts.

Requirements:

1. Educational Qualification –

Graduate or Postgraduate in any stream or professional qualification in the field of public relations or marketing communication.

2. Client Servicing –

An Account Manager should be capable of driving service quality for a group of accounts, keeping programs on time and within budget. He/She must be able to deliver comprehensive, strategic and integrated communications programs that complement the client’s business objectives; maintain a clear and consistent communication channel between the client and the account team; manage client meetings and account reviews to foster a strong and supportive relationship with clients; manage issues and crisis with the support of senior management. The Account Manager must stay abreast of industry trends and takes an active interest in the client’s business to pre-empt issues and provide strategic counsel to clients.

3. Media Relations/Social Media Communications -

Maintains a strong rapport with journalists/bloggers; Maintains a steady and positive client presence in traditional and social media; Develops, pitches and places positive stories by and about the client in appropriate business, trade and consumer media; Handles complex media inquiries; Oversees press events and takes part in media trainings, including drafting scenarios and Q&A

4. Team Management -

Acts as a coach and mentor to junior team members to deliver quality execution of client programs; Effectively delegates tasks and oversees quality implementation; Takes an active interest in staff development and provides on the job training to team members on day-to-day account management; Keeps immediate supervisors briefed on team member performance, ensuring recognition of good performance and that any concerns are addressed in a timely fashion.

Minimum Requirements:

Between 4 to 7 years work experience in public relations or the communications industry, out of which at least 1 year should be in a manager position servicing clients.
