This role is ideal for those who have a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and are eager to embark on a career in penetration testing. Job Summary: As a Junior Penetration Tester, you will be part of our esteemed cybersecurity team, working alongside seasoned professionals to enhance our clients' security posture. You will participate in simulated cyber attacks against our clients' IT systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities and security flaws. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of ethical hacking and penetration testing, contributing to the safeguarding of sensitive information against cyber threats. Key Responsibilities: Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on web applications, networks, and systems. Utilize a variety of tools and techniques to identify and exploit vulnerabilities. Participate in red team exercises to simulate real-world cyber attacks. Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to develop comprehensive penetration testing plans and strategies. Document findings, prepare reports, and present recommendations to improve clients' security posture. Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and techniques. Basic Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Familiarity with penetration testing tools and methodologies (e.g., Kali Linux, Metasploit, OWASP ZAP). Understanding of network protocols and security principles. Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude towards tackling cybersecurity challenges. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, PenTest+, GPEN, eJPT, eCPPT, OSCP or equivalent security certifications.
