Job description

Job Title: Lighting Technician

Department: Maintenance / Operations

Location: Trichy

Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary:

As a Lighting Technician you are responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of various lighting systems including induction lights high master lights LED lights and street lights. Your role involves ensuring the optimal functionality and efficiency of lighting systems conducting routine inspections diagnosing issues and implementing appropriate solutions to maintain the aesthetic and functional integrity of lighting installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lighting System Maintenance and Repair:

    • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of lighting systems to ensure proper functioning and energy efficiency.
    • Troubleshoot and repair faults in various lighting systems such as induction high master LED and street lights.
    • Replace defective components and perform necessary adjustments to maintain lighting system performance.
  2. Installation and Configuration:

    • Install new lighting systems and configure them according to operational requirements and aesthetic considerations.
    • Collaborate with designers or project managers to ensure that the lighting installations meet the specified requirements.
  3. Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to safety protocols and electrical standards to prevent accidents and ensure the safe operation of lighting systems.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and environmental standards related to lighting installations.
  4. Record Keeping and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work installations inspections and repairs.
    • Document parts inventory order supplies and parts as needed and manage the inventory of lighting components.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team electricians and other departments to coordinate lighting maintenance and installation activities.
    • Communicate effectively with team members management and external vendors or contractors as required.

Essential Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor\'s degree in business or related field is a plus. Proven experience in sales, preferably in the audiovisual equipment industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in using billing and inventory management systems. Basic understanding of audiovisual equipment and technology. Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Sales-driven with a passion for exceeding targets.
