SUMMARY OF POSITION :

The Commercial Operations Analyst is responsible for building and ensuring the stability and scalability of databases, reports, and analytical products that support the Inside Sales, Commercial Operations, and Pricing departments. This role is also responsible for data integrity and conducting periodic reviews of new data. Applicants should be well versed in creating automated data-handling processes and building dashboards.

Working hours will be through 11AM EST to support an Atlanta and Houston-based team, with occasional requirements to attend calls later.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

· Create sustainable, scalable, and stable business intelligence platforms (e.g. SSAS, Power BI Datasets) that integrate with multiple company pillar systems (including Salesforce and SQL databases).

· Create and maintain reports and dashboards linked to previously mentioned data sources and provide guidance/best practices for reporting.

· Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting to answer questions for senior leaders.

· Participate as data SME for continuous improvement activities.

· Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.

· Develop and implement data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

· Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

· Work with leadership to prioritize business and information needs.

· Analyze and prepare interpretations of data to use to develop conclusions.

· Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

· Provide estimates, impact assessments, and give expert opinion on key strategic initiatives.

· Design Power BI dashboards and advanced data visualizations to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audience.

QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

· B.E./B.Tech/BCA/MCA/BSc or equivalent degree in computer science or IT. MBA or PG in Finance / Statistics / Data-Science would be a good-to-have.

o OR related field or equivalent related experience

· 4-5 years working with databases, ETL packages (ex: SSIS, or Power Query), and data visualization tools (ideally Power BI).

· Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.

· Experience building schemas using data from different non-related application databases.

· Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages databases, programming.

· Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets, including pivot tables, chart-making, and manipulation of large data sets

· Proficiency in statistics, data analysis, and research methods

· Direct exposure and interaction with mid-senior management is a plus.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

· Fluent in written and verbal English

· Ability to handle sensitive information with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Passion for data handling ethics.

ANALYTICAL SKILLS

COMPUTER SKILLS

· Highly proficient with Salesforce, Power BI, MS Excel.

· Capable of creating and updating automated ETL jobs
