Job Title: Technology Cost Management SME

Location: Preferably PSL, but can be Kingston or Bangalore

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and inquisitive individual to join the Performance Hub Team as a Technology Cost Management SME specializing in Apptio software. This is a unique opportunity to join a team that bridges Finance and Data & Analytics to turn data into information.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in configuring and optimizing the Apptio financial modelling software to meet the dynamic needs of our organization. Your primary focus will be on streamlining processes, ensuring accurate data representation, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Model Optimization and Configuration:
  • Customize Apptio models to accurately reflect the business processes and cost drivers of the Global organization.
  • Continuously refine and optimize Apptio models to improve performance and enhance capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of Apptio updates and industry best practices to implement new features and functionalities effectively.
  • Provide efficient technical troubleshooting resolutions.
  • Data Integration and Accuracy:
  • Analyse, understand and interpret movement in results to the business.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of data into Apptio.
  • Perform regular validation checks to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
  • Collaboration, Training & Governance:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of Apptio configurations, processes, and workflows.
  • Implement and control a governance framework across the models, activities, and processes.
  • Support training to maximize the utilization of Apptio and facilitate knowledge transfer within the organization.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this

Many of Unilever's recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
