Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Management:

    • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives to ensure timely availability of materials.
    • Source negotiate and procure materials required for the fabrication of Metallic and NonMetallic Flexible Expansion Joints including but not limited to:
      • Stainless steel
      • Carbon steel
      • Rubber compounds
      • Fabric materials
      • Sealants and adhesives
      • Other specialized components as per engineering requirements.
  2. Vendor Management:

    • Identify and qualify reliable vendors for the supply of raw materials and outsourced fabrication services.
    • Negotiate contracts terms and pricing agreements with vendors to optimize costeffectiveness while maintaining quality standards.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors monitor their performance and address any issues promptly.
  3. Inventory Control:

    • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
    • Implement inventory management techniques to ensure efficient utilization of resources and minimize wastage.
  4. Quality Assurance:

    • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that purchased materials meet specified quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct periodic quality assessments of materials received and take corrective actions as necessary.
  5. Logistics and Delivery Coordination:

    • Coordinate with logistics providers to arrange timely delivery of materials to production facilities.
    • Track shipments resolve any transportation issues and ensure ontime delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
  6. Cost Management:

    • Analyze pricing trends market conditions and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
    • Monitor and control procurement budgets effectively to optimize expenditure.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on cost optimization and process efficiency. Proficient in using procurement software and tools for inventory management and data analysis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Familiarity with quality assurance processes and standards relevant to the manufacturing industry.
