Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Source negotiate and procure materials required for the fabrication of Metallic and NonMetallic Flexible Expansion Joints including but not limited to:
- Stainless steel
- Carbon steel
- Rubber compounds
- Fabric materials
- Sealants and adhesives
- Other specialized components as per engineering requirements.
Vendor Management:
- Identify and qualify reliable vendors for the supply of raw materials and outsourced fabrication services.
- Negotiate contracts terms and pricing agreements with vendors to optimize costeffectiveness while maintaining quality standards.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors monitor their performance and address any issues promptly.
Inventory Control:
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
- Implement inventory management techniques to ensure efficient utilization of resources and minimize wastage.
Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that purchased materials meet specified quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct periodic quality assessments of materials received and take corrective actions as necessary.
Logistics and Delivery Coordination:
- Coordinate with logistics providers to arrange timely delivery of materials to production facilities.
- Track shipments resolve any transportation issues and ensure ontime delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
Cost Management:
- Analyze pricing trends market conditions and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Monitor and control procurement budgets effectively to optimize expenditure.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Any Graduate or Diploma/B.E.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities with a focus on cost optimization and process efficiency.
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools for inventory management and data analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and standards relevant to the manufacturing industry.
