Roles and responsibilities of Carrier Relation Specialists

As a Carrier Relations Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, onboarding new carriers, and ensuring seamless integration of innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Lead negotiations with global carriers to establish new Master Service Agreements

- Manage vendor contracts, SLAs, and technical documentation

- Communicate internally regarding vendor updates and releases

- Ensure carriers meet performance standards and address billing issues

- Assist in refining vendor onboarding processes

- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate new products and technologies

- Provide pricing analysis and support for competitive rates

- Manage commitments and cost reduction targets

- Support finance department with carrier rate adjustments

Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Logistics industry Experience in managing international vendors is a plus Proficiency in negotiation, reporting, and data analysis Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to travel domestically and internationally for industry conferences
