Job description
Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic SaaS Product Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall vision, strategy, and success of our Software as a Service (SaaS) product. As a Product Owner, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and marketing, to ensure the product meets market needs and achieves business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Product Vision and Strategy:
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with the overall company goals.
- Stay informed about market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to make data-driven decisions.
- Product Roadmap:
- Define and prioritize features for the product roadmap based on customer feedback, market research, and business priorities.
- Work closely with development teams to create and maintain a realistic and achievable release schedule.
- Requirements Management:
- Gather, document, and prioritize product requirements, ensuring they align with the product vision and strategic goals.
- Clearly communicate requirements to development teams and stakeholders.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, design, QA, and marketing, to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a common understanding of product goals and priorities.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate product updates, changes, and timelines to internal and external stakeholders.
- Solicit and incorporate feedback from various sources to improve the product continuously.
- User Experience (UX):
- Work closely with UX designers to ensure the product provides an intuitive and delightful user experience.
- Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate and enhance product usability.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product and regularly monitor and report on product performance.
- Implement strategies to improve product adoption, customer satisfaction, and overall success.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of SaaS principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with UX design principles.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors/ Masters degree in a relevant field (Business, Computer Science, etc.).
- 8-10 years of experience in product management or a related role, preferably in a SaaS environment.
