Overview Of Initial Assignment We are seeking an experienced and visionary Azure Cloud Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The Azure Cloud Solution Architect will play a key role in shaping the overall cloud strategy, providing technical expertise, and delivering architectural guidance to ensure that cloud initiatives align with business objectives and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, technical challenges, and strategic goals, and translate them into scalable and secure cloud solutions on Azure.
- Lead the architectural design and development of Azure-based applications, services, and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements.
- Provide expertise in leveraging Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure SQL Databases, Azure IoT, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Kubernetes Service, and other relevant offerings.
- Design and implement cloud-native, microservices-based architectures, leveraging containerization, serverless computing, and advanced Azure PaaS capabilities to drive innovation and agility.
- Define and drive the adoption of cloud architecture patterns, reference architectures, and best practices to enable consistent, scalable, and maintainable cloud solutions across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Provide guidance on cloud security and identity management, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and compliance controls, to ensure the protection of sensitive data and resources.
- Lead technical discussions and workshops with internal teams and external partners, articulating the value proposition of Azure cloud solutions and driving alignment on architecture and design decisions.
- Stay updated on new Azure offerings, emerging cloud technologies, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for increasing the efficiency, scalability, and innovation of cloud solutions.
Skills & Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert preferred.
- Proven experience in architecting and implementing complex, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, with a deep understanding of Azure PaaS, IaaS, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Expertise in designing and implementing cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization using Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Functions.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, and compliance requirements, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing secure solutions on Azure.
- Experience with cloud migration strategies, encompassing assessment, planning, and execution of workload migrations to Azure, including understanding Azure Migrate and related tools.
- Proficiency in architecting CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices, and integrating Azure solutions with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other relevant tools for continuous integration and delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and influence architectural decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze business requirements and technical constraints to provide innovative and pragmatic architectural solutions.
- Experience required: 12-15 years.
