This career is within our Delivery Assurance team. As the Delivery Assurance PMO, you will help to establish, develop, and maintain project management standards and processes.

Job Description

This role will report directly to the Director of Delivery Assurance and work closely with the DA team to develop, establish and maintain project management standards and processes. Drive consistent methodologies, adherence to and continuous improvements within our processes and procedures to ensure excellence in our delivery to all our customers.

The ideal candidate should have Project Management & and PMO experience and needs to be personable with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of an organisation including senior stakeholders.

• Supporting the Heads of Delivery Assurance and Delivery Assurance Principals to drive governance and oversight across the project portfolios
• Facilitation of weekly RAID & RAG review meetings with the Project Managers, Delivery Managers and Senior Management team.
• Maintenance and management of the project portfolio weekly status reporting pack (Delivery Assurance Dashboard).
• Creation and development of reports for the senior management team
• Development of the Delivery Assurance framework in alignment with the Delivery Assurance roadmap
• Actively participate in various steering groups across the project landscape.
• Ability to take on Project Management initiatives on an ad hoc basis as and when required;
• Performing audits and Ensuring Process Awareness within the Practices.
• Ensuring Project Managers and Delivery Managers follow timely and accurate reporting on the weekly projects' dashboard, for those projects that fit the criteria
• Facilitating the weekly Delivery Assurance meetings and distributing the actions and decisions from these meetings
• Supporting the Delivery Assurance team in performing Project Management inductions, including ensuring that all relevant processes are communicated and explained to New or Acquired project managers.
• Review and rebuild the project management induction pack for new starters
• Support the identification, creation and implementation of new processes, procedures or methodologies as required by the business to enhance our delivery capability
• Ensuring that lessons learned are performed at the end of all the projects, documented and communicated to the rest of the practice community for inclusion in any future similar estimations, implementations, and processes to further improve our delivery capability
• Assisting the Head of Delivery Assurance and Delivery Assurance Principals in performing project health checks on the more complex projects within their practice

Qualifications

• Experience of Project Management (Prince2/PMP)
• Experience using various Project Management tools (MS Project/Jira/AzureDevOps etc)
• Should have experience between 3-5 years working as PMO.
• O365 suite, in particular, Excel, Power BI and SharePoint
• Experience in both Waterfall and Agile Delivery
• Highly motivated
• Outstanding 'people' skills
• Strong commercial awareness
• Have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
