Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Engineer to join our dynamic team at Centum Infosystems Pvt Ltd. As a Desktop Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing the desktop infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of hardware and software components, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance overall efficiency. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in a wide range of technologies, with a strong focus on Microsoft environments and desktop engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure Management: - Oversee and maintain the desktop infrastructure, including operating systems, hardware, and software components. - Manage Microsoft Windows environments, from legacy systems to the latest versions, including Windows 10 and Windows 11.

2. Software Deployment and Customization: - Develop and deploy custom Windows images, incorporating Office 365, custom start-menu configurations, and corporate branding. - Implement and customize software solutions such as Microsoft Office, SCCM, Intune, and other relevant applications.

3. Security and Compliance: - Implement and manage security measures, including Bitlocker encryption, Windows Hello for Business, and other security protocols. - Ensure compliance with corporate policies and industry best practices in desktop engineering.

4. Automation and Scripting: - Utilize scripting languages such as VBScript, PowerShell, and HTA to automate deployment tasks and improve overall efficiency. - Design and implement complex task sequences for Windows OS deployment, including custom validation tools and BIOS configurations.

5. Collaboration and Support: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide support in administering deployment policies, configuration, and compliance for user-owned and company-owned devices. - Provide technical support for end-users, addressing hardware and software-related issues.

Qualifications and Skills: - Proven experience in desktop engineering and management, with a focus on Microsoft environments. - Expertise in Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Windows 10 and Windows 11. - Proficiency in scripting languages such as VBScript, PowerShell, and HTA. - Hands-on experience with deployment tools like SCCM, Intune, and Active Directory. - Strong understanding of security protocols, including Bitlocker encryption and Windows Hello for Business. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience: - Extensive PowerShell scripting capability and understanding of the end-user space. - Proficiency in Microsoft-centric on-prem/cloud system management and security management control plane products (i.e., SCCM/Intune/Endpoint Security/Defender/Group Policy and Device Management controls, etc.). - Familiarity with VMWare/Citrix space for client virtualization (i.e., Netscaler/StoreFront/XenDesktop/XenApp/vSphere/PowerCLI, scripting skills here are a must). - Experience with "glue" products for delivery in cloud and on-prem that aid in profile or device management (e.g., mobility tooling like MDM/MAM, profile management like Citrix Workspace Environment Management/RES/AppSense, performance and end-user experience tooling like Nexthink/1e Dex/Lakeside/Liquidware Labs Stratusphere).

Education and Certifications: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. - Desktop engineering certifications such as MCITP, MCTS, or equivalent are preferred.
