Job Title: Assistant Manager/Manager Statutory Compliance (2-5 years of experience)Qualification: LLB from a reputed, recognized law college in India.Experience in Pharmaceutical and manufacturing industry lawsJob Description:1. Compliance Policy & System Management:Implement and manage Emcure’s Statutory Compliance Policy and Compliance Management System (CMS) in an Administrator Role.Coordinate with IT team on software management, report generation, bug tracking, automation possibilities, and tool improvements.Draft and update statutory compliance policy, tool manual, training manuals, mapping logic, and compliance workflows.Provide CMS tool training and monitor the statutory compliance status of all entities and subsidiaries across various markets.2. Statutory Compliance Register Maintenance:Maintain a comprehensive compliance register for the Entity and each business location including Questionnaire, list of licenses, to verify and maintain list of applicable laws and applicable compliance checklist.Validate statutory compliance checklists and configure them in the CMS.Update Compliance Register from time to time and track events that may trigger changes in the compliance checklist by discussion with the stakeholders.Act as a subject matter expert in applicable laws in the domestic market. Identify area and function with handling compliance and include them in the CMS for the purpose of tracking and monitoring.Prepare internal compliances and license checklist, such as Consent to operate for all manufacturing locations.3. Documentation & Record Keeping:Maintain a repository of all government licenses, property agreements, factory manager board resolutions, and other incremental data.Track change request emails and approvals for user changes in the CMS.Maintain a consolidated legal updates tracker and a backup of quarterly certificates & reports.Ensureall data is readily available by the team and Company.4. Risk Mitigation & Remediation:Conduct monthly and quarterly audits of the Statutory Compliance Management System and prepare observation reports.Present statutory compliance status to HOD’s, Factory heads, and Divisional heads on a quarterly basis.Conduct statutory compliance assessments and prepare exception reports for the organization.Escalate non-compliance issues to process owners and suggest remedial measures.Prepare statutory compliance certificates for locations, departments, MD, Occupier, and CS to the Board.Coordinate with Internal Audit team for audits regarding statutory compliance subject area.5. Legal Updates & Sensitization:Track legal updates and identify new laws/provisions/amendments.Prepare checklists for legal updates or new laws that are applicable to the company.Develop and deliver statutory compliance-related training programs for employees.Send email alerts on upcoming laws to the Concerned stakeholder and users in the CMS on timely mannerInterpret statutory compliance provisions, applicability, and coordinate with concerned stakeholder for its implementation on a timely manner.
