Education- BE / B.Tech or ME / M.Tech in Automotive/ Mechanical/ Industrial/ Production Experience- 15-25 Years
Scope / Skills: Highly motivated individual who has passion for working with organizational stake holders. Identifying business needs, create or set up eco-system for SME Role. Experienced leader to support project teams to resolve technical stoppers Extensive understanding of at least one and preferably more Exterior subassemblies such as Lighting systems, Hood, Tailgate, Mechanisms, Bumpers and Upper Exterior system. Good understanding of Crash, Safety, Aerodynamics and Regulatory requirements. Knowledge of design, materials and technical specifications for steel, aluminum, plastics, composites & other lightweight materials. Should have good understanding of GD&T, DVA, DVP, DFMEA, 8D. Candidate shall be aware of complete programmed life cycle - vehicle and components. Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as Injection Moulding, forming, stamping, welding, joining, sealing and other manufacturing technologies to create structural parts & assemblies. Good understanding of requirements for highly design sensitive A surface parts. Candidate shall be able to develop System Design Specifications incorporating engineering standards, test procedures and material specifications. Strong analytical approach for design, performance assessment, technology selection and validation. Should have good Verbal, Written skills to generate, update and maintain documents. This role requires creating good network inside & outside organization globally therefore good in communication with balanced mind & attitude. Candidate shall be aware of advanced VAVE technics, Process and have worked on similar projects / activities. Work experience in Vehicle architecture / Pre-study phase is preferred. Good Hands-on experience on 3D CAD-software’s Catia V5/V6. Responsibilities: Prepare governance plan & lead project technical reviews. Provide technical solutions that meet given requirements & Specifications, e.g Performance, Manufacturability, Standardization to deliver attributes like Durability, Aero, Thermal, Service, Cost and quality. Investigate and Sign-off Technical Proposals & Engineering change request. Demonstrate Technical skills by resolving or providing solutions related to Package, Manufacturing process, Materials, Features, Test Procedures and Tooling. Provide technical support interface in Vendor and supplier meetings. Awareness of future engineering trends and developments to architect solution element. Follow recent process, design inventions and update Design Specifications, DFMEAs, DVPs. Participate and Lead business development activities - Support sales enablement, work with sales practitioner, and communicate capabilities, offerings, and client references. Major Deliverables: Monthly Plan & Actions on Project Governance Dashboard. Monthly status on Engineering design Standards (EDS) Updates & Follow-up. Sign off documents such as EDS, DFMEA, Lesson Learned, RFQ, ESOW, Innovation documents. Lead Innovation. Domain / Components : Upper Trims : Pillar Trims, Spoiler, Leaf-screen, Finishers, Badges, Claddings. Black Trims: Undertrays, Wheel-arch liners, Active Grille Shutters, Upstream Ducts, Secondary Bulkheads, Heatshields. Lids: Bonnet, Tailgate, Fender, Charge Bowl. Lighting System: Headlamps, Tail lamps, fog lamps, side running lights, Direction indicator lamp, DRL & CHMSL lamps. Bumpers: Front Bumper, Rear Bumper, Grilles, Skid Plates, Active Aero Parts.Job tags
