Job Description

• Position: Assistant Professor - Psychology
• Department : Academics
• Location: Sohna, Palwal Road

Summary of Job :

Teach Psychology for Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree courses as per Bangalore City University curriculum, evaluation and other college administrative activities.

Job Responsibilities :

• Teaching M.A/M.Sc Psychology and Applied Psychology
• Taking classes in Behavioral Science course for all students admitted this year.
• Teaching PG Diploma courses in different areas of Psychology
• Should be able to guide students in doctoral program, i.e. (Ph.D.)
• Should undertake research in the areas related to psychology, mental health and related areas
• Should liaison with internship agencies to ascertain that the training is in accordance with the requirement of ASU's School of Behavioral Sciences
• Should be able to take up issues and assignments related to Liberal Arts Center at ASU
• Should take up responsibilities in the ASU Counseling Center.

Job Knowledge (Prerequisite)

• 2 years teaching experience of psychology and related subjects for both undergraduates and post graduate students of a university or a higher education institution including colleges under a recognized university.

Skill Set :

• Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)
• Teaching, guiding, and training skills

Education Qualification :

• Ph.D. (Psychology/ Applied Psychology/Counselling Psychology)
• M.A in Psychology (UGC Net Cleared)
• Minimum of 55% in Post-graduation in psychology from a recognized university

2 years teaching experience

(Those who have more than 2 years teaching experience in any recognized university but do not have Ph.D., may also apply but must clear their doctoral degree within 2 years' time of joining the job if selected.)
