I. Basic Information of the Position

Position Name : Assistant Manager

Function : Human Resource

II. Purpose of the role

The job responsibility of a Assistant Manager - Human Resource is to identify and attract the most qualified candidates. Also develop retention strategy to reduce attrition or turnover and maintain a stable and employee base. Retaining employees to have cost-effectivity, increased profitability, productivity, and a positive organizational reputation.

III. Key Responsibilities and accountabilities of the Role

1) Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including understanding Hiring Needs, creating job descriptions, posting job openings, and Sourcing and screening Candidates. Hiring through campus, coordinate and conduct interviews and assessments, reference checks, offer negotiation, assist in onboarding of new employees.

2) Retention Metrics : Monitor and track key retention metrics, for employee turnover rate, to assess the effectiveness of our strategy. Identify factors Affecting Retention Create positive and inclusive organizational culture to make employees feel valued and more likely to stay.

3) Training and Development : Coordinate training programs and workshops for employees. Identify training needs and work with managers to develop training plans. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness.

4) Employee Engagement : Help plan and organize employee engagement activities. Conduct employee surveys and analyze results to identify areas for improvement. Promoting a positive work culture and fostering employee engagement through various initiatives, such as surveys, feedback mechanisms, and recognition programs.

5) Conflict Resolution and Communication : Mediating and resolving conflicts among employees, between employees and management. Developing and implementing effective communication strategies to keep employees informed about company policies, changes, and updates. Assist in internal HR communications, such as newsletters, policy updates, and announcements.

6) Performance Management : Assisting in the performance management process, which includes conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and addressing performance-related issues.

7) Training and Development : Identifying training and development needs for employees and helping to implement programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.

8) Reporting and Data Analysis : Generate HR reports on key metrics, such as turnover, recruitment, and diversity. - Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for HR strategies. - Maintaining accurate records of employee relations activities, including investigations, complaints, and resolutions.

9) Workplace Investigations : Conducting investigations into workplace issues, such as harassment, discrimination, or ethical violations, and taking appropriate actions based on the findings.

10) Exit Interviews : Conducting exit interviews with departing employees can provide valuable insights into the reasons behind their departure, allowing the organization to make improvements and reduce turnover.

V. Knowledge and Skills

1) Educational Qualification : MBA HR Specialization

2) Experience : 5 to 7 years & 3+ Years - experience in FMCG/Retail

3) Functional Skills required to execute the role : Good arithmetical & reasoning ability, able to communicate well, enthusiastic & system knowledge open to travel across pan India, approx. 10 days in a month

4) Technical Skills Required to execute the role : Extensive experience in recruitment and staffing strong knowledge in employee relations activities, conflict resolution and communication should be able to handle pan India activities.

5) Any other requirements: Language Fluency : English, Hindi, Local Language.
