The Data Innovations team sits within the Enterprise Data Management organization.
Our team is tasked to drive commercial outcomes from internal and externally facing data investments with a core goal of maximizing financial return, data accessibility, and data insights for the Bank and our clients.
- One component of the Innovation team is delivering the Regulatory Data Office which serves as a Data Horizontal in support Regulatory Initiatives (New Reg, Reg Changes, Remediation / Enhancement).
- RDO will engage with Compliance, Corporate Functions, and Lines of Business with primary responsibility for the regulatory obligation to provide expertise with Enterprise Data Services (e.g. Data Lake) and analytical tooling/techniques to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data for their regulatory obligations.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a must, knowledge of regulatory reporting is a strong advantage. Experience navigating and enriching data sets for business or regulatory outcomes. Candidate should be a self-starter, comfortable with communicating with senior stakeholders with a genuine curiosity for the business (finance) and a desire for deep understanding of data sets and insights that can be derived. The candidate will add value by bridging technical and business endeavors, driving outcomes and leveraging technology to advance data quality and drive insights regarding the firm's regulatory reporting.
- Manages analysis of application data requirements for new and enhanced data processing applications. Manages the analysis and influences the design of data models and logical databases at the data element level consistent with the corporate architectural models. Manages the navigation and analysis of corporate-wide information flows and interfaces between business processes to understand and identify appropriate datasets for analytics and regulatory reporting purposes. Provides comprehensive consulting to internal clients and IT management and staff in the identification and resolution of information flow and content issues. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives
Must have : - Degree in computer science, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
- 8+ years of experience in all phases of data identification, transformation, and usage or an equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
- Candidate should have experience with minimum of regulatory reporting , SQL, Python, scripting & BI tools.
