Positions: Senior Engineer: Battery Pack and BMS Powertrain and Inverter Controls E/E Architecture and Electrical Integration
Location: On-Site, Gurgaon, with travel to Pune and Bangalore. Type: Full-time (Can start on consulting basis. Looking to fill these positions immediately) Experience: 10-15 years experience building individual sub-systems or the complete e4W Powertrain (E/E Architecture, Battery systems, Motor+MCU, and Integration) at an 4W OEM or Engineering Consultancy Company Overview: Planet Electric Inc, was established in Jan 2021 to address the weight issue in Mobility. Building on the innovations in Aerospace and Aviation, the founders have introduced FOAK lightweight composite chassis to reduce the battery and motor consumption by as much as 50%, thereby charting a new era in the development of affordable electric automobiles and trucks. Job Overview: Working together with the Founding team and senior leadership, the senior engineers will play a pivotal role in the design, sizing, sourcing, optimization, integration a testing of the individual sub-systems for our Planet Electric' Ttrucks. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical engineering, demonstrated leadership skills, and a proven track record in delivering cutting-edge Battery and Powertrain solutions. Qualifications: A Masters degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering or a related field. A PhD degree is a definite plus. A minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience in the design, development, testing and optimization of complete battery electric powertrains, preferably in the car or commercial vehicle industry. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams. In-depth knowledge of electric powertrain components as well as power electronics, including High Voltage (400V) battery packs and motors, inverters, VCU and transmission systems. Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools for Battery Packs, BMS, Electrochemical, Inverter, Controls, SIL and HIL. Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of successful technical project delivery. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations in the electric vehicle sector.
