Job description

Technical Sales Inhouse

Education: An masters degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration
Marketing Engineering or a related discipline is often required. Prefer candidates with a
technical background in audio visual technology electronics or related fields especially for
roles that involve selling complex AV products.


Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of audio visual products and systems is
essential for effectively selling luxury AV products. This includes understanding audio and
video technologies signal processing display technologies connectivity standards (e.g.
HDMI DisplayPort) and control systems. Candidates with certifications or training in AV
technology (e.g. Certified Technology Specialist CTS) may have an advantage.

1. Product Knowledge: You must deeply understand the luxury AV products offered
by your brand. This includes knowledge of product features specifications performance
capabilities and competitive advantages. Your expertise allows you to effectively
communicate the value proposition of the products to potential customers.


2. Customer Consultation: As a technical sales professional you often serve as a trusted
advisor to customers helping them understand how your products can meet their specific
needs and requirements. This involves engaging in consultative sales conversations asking
probing questions to uncover customer pain points and recommending tailored solutions
that address those needs.


3. Technical Demonstrations and Presentations: You would conduct product demonstrations
and presentations for potential customers to showcase the features and capabilities of your
luxury AV products. These demonstrations are interactive and tailored to the customer's

interests and preferences highlighting how the products can enhance their audiovisual
experience.


4. Solution Design and Proposal Development: Based on your understanding of customer
requirements and preferences you would design customized solutions that leverage your
brand's AV products to meet those needs effectively. This involves creating detailed
proposals that outline the recommended products configurations and pricing options
along with any additional services or support offerings.


5. Relationship Building: Cultivating strong relationships with customers is essential for long
term success in technical sales. You would focus on building rapport trust and credibility
with customers through proactive communication responsiveness to inquiries and
personalized attention to their needs. These relationships drive initial sales and
lead to repeat business and referrals.


6. Crossfunctional Collaboration: Collaboration with internal teams such as product
development marketing and customer support is critical for delivering a seamless
customer experience. You would work closely with these teams to stay informed about
product updates and enhancements coordinate marketing campaigns and promotions and
ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries and issues.


7. Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Staying informed about market trends
competitor offerings and industry developments is important for positioning your luxury AV
products effectively in the market. You would conduct market research and competitive
analysis to identify emerging opportunities anticipate customer needs and refine your sales
approach to stay ahead of the competition.


8. Sales Pipeline Management: Managing the sales pipeline involves tracking leads
opportunities and deals through each stage of the sales process. You would use CRM tools
and sales management techniques to prioritize leads follow up on inquiries and progress
opportunities toward closure. This requires effective time management and organizational
skills to ensure that sales targets are consistently met or exceeded.


9. Continuous Learning and Skill Development: AV technology is constantly
evolving with new products features and trends emerging regularly. As a technical sales
professional you must stay updated on industry developments and invest in continuous
learning to maintain your technical expertise and sales proficiency. This may involve
attending training programs industry conferences and product seminars offered by your
brand or industry associations.


10. Customer Feedback and Satisfaction: Actively seeking feedback from customers is essential
for understanding their experience with your products and services and identifying areas for
improvement. You would gather feedback through postsale surveys followup calls and
customer meetings and use this information to drive product enhancements refine your
sales approach and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
