Job Description:

Sharekhan is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Business Development Associate to join our sales team. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving business growth, acquiring new clients, and expanding our market presence. The successful candidate will leverage their sales expertise, industry knowledge, and customer relationship-building skills to drive revenue and exceed targets in a dynamic and competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospect, identify, and cultivate new business opportunities within the target market, including individual investors, HNIs (High Net Worth Individuals), and corporate clients. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, expand market share, and drive business growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing personalized investment advice, portfolio recommendations, and tailored financial solutions. Conduct comprehensive financial needs assessments, understand clients' investment objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizon to offer suitable investment products and services. Educate clients on Sharekhan's product offerings, trading platforms, and market trends, demonstrating value and addressing concerns to facilitate informed decision-making. Collaborate with internal teams, including research analysts, product specialists, and customer support, to deliver seamless and integrated solutions that meet client needs and expectations. Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and market trends to anticipate client needs, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field. Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of equity markets, mutual funds, derivatives, and other investment products. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, establish trust, and influence decision-makers. Results-driven mindset, with a passion for exceeding targets, closing deals, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data, evaluate investment opportunities, and tailor recommendations to meet client needs. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Relevant certifications such as NISM (National Institute of Securities Markets) certifications would be an advantage. Proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM) is preferred.
