To take care Engineering responsibilities of Gas meter product line
Key Metrics of the Role
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
- Strong experience in gas meter design, specifically diaphragm gas meters.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- In-depth knowledge of gas metering technologies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Able to design mechanisms and CFT analysis which are required for gas meter design
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other design tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget.
- ERP related skills to ensure BOM, routing and product costing.
Key Deliverables
- Design and develop diaphragm gas meters: Lead the design and development efforts of diaphragm gas meters, ensuring they meet industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and quality assurance personnel, to oversee all aspects of the design process from concept to production.
- Manage project timelines: Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring that milestones are achieved within budget and on schedule.
- Conduct research and analysis: Stay updated on the latest technologies, market trends, and industry best practices related to diaphragm gas meter design. Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers: Collaborate with suppliers to source components and materials for diaphragm gas meters. Ensure quality standards are met and negotiate pricing to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Test and validate designs: Oversee the testing and validation of diaphragm gas meter designs, ensuring they meet performance specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance and safety: Stay up to date with regulatory requirements and ensure that diaphragm gas meter designs comply with relevant safety and quality standards.
- Manage team and resources: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Manage resources effectively to meet project goals.
