Overview of the Role: OMI Foundation is on the lookout for a highly skilled and imaginative Graphic Designer to be a key player in our creative team. This pivotal role involves crafting visually compelling graphics, sophisticated infographics, and dynamic digital content that embody the essence of the OMI Foundation. As a vital contributor, you will play a significant role in shaping and refining our brand identity, reflecting our mission to drive meaningful advancements toward sustainable, resilient, and equitable urban mobility and livelihood solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in producing multimedia content that engages a diverse range of stakeholders, including government bodies, industry leaders, media outlets, think tanks, the general public, civil society organizations, and funders.

Primary Responsibilities: Create professional, visually appealing reports, infographics, presentations, banners, and other research and marketing materials that effectively communicate our initiatives and insights. Design and implement creative visuals, including static images and videos, for our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), ensuring high engagement and alignment with our brand's voice. Develop electronic templates for newsletters, invitations, email campaigns, and posters, among others. Collaborate closely with all research and outreach teams to devise and manage content calendars for social media strategies. Keep abreast of the latest design trends and techniques to ensure our content remains innovative and relevant. Maintain strict adherence to brand guidelines across all graphics, videos, and reports, ensuring a cohesive brand experience. Leverage experience in design content development in themes like urban, mobility, livelihoods, and sustainability, to enhance our communications strategy.

Additional Responsibilities: Generate inventive design concepts to support OMI’s communication goals and bring them to fruition. Assist in OMI Foundation events and undertake additional communications tasks as needed.

Skills and Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Architecture, Urban Planning, or related fields is preferred, alongside certificates in design software and desktop publishing. A minimum of 2 years of comprehensive design experience, with a portfolio showcasing expertise in infographics, data visualization, posters, reports, illustrations, digital creatives, and animations. Proficient in graphic design and video editing software, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma), Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro. Exceptional attention to detail with a strong aesthetic sensibility. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across various departments. Familiarity with the specific image and video requirements of different social media platforms. A solid understanding of branding principles and the skill to consistently apply brand identity across various mediums. Desirable: A background in urban planning concepts and terminology to effectively convey related subject matter.
