Job Description
As an AVP for the Investor Relations team, your primary responsibilities will involve, among other IR related activities, the following:
Reporting and investment analysis - Prepare and / or review client reporting materials including monthly investment statements, semi-annual investment reports and any custom reporting
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure client portfolio data is captured and uploaded into relevant reporting systems
- Prepare custom internal reporting including liquidity, FX hedging, investment performance, cash flow projections and pro-forma portfolios
- Prepare Board meeting agenda and materials and prepare / review minutes thereafter
- Prepare Asset Allocation Committee and Investment Committee investment recommendations and minutes
Administration - Develop and maintain discretionary mandate policies and procedures, both at a general level and client specific policies and procedures
- Coordinate with finance and legal & compliance to prepare internal agreements for any fee reductions, rebates or other mandate specific terms
- Coordinate preparation of product specific SPAs and cash transfers
- Prepare and submit onboarding and subscription documents for any third party funds and products
- Coordinate with relevant administrators for administration of client SPVs, including reporting, maintenance of corporate records and so on
Any other general administration, including queries from internal audit, legal & compliance and so on
Other support tasks
- Maintain a deep understanding of the firm's product offerings, including investment philosophy, investment strategy and general portfolio constructs
- Prepare and coordinate responses to clients and prospect queries
- Take on additional responsibilities relating to discretionary mandates as the offering evolves, potentially including supporting arrangements with third party managers and banks
- Organize investor events
- Optimize usage of Salesforce and hence optimising prospecting and tracking
The Successful Applicant
- 4 to 8 years of investor relations experience in the financial services industry, preferably within the area of alternative investments
- Portfolio management experience
- Knowledge of fund structures and various ratios viz. Internal rate of return, Time weighted return, Investment multiple
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with an Intellectual curiosity and exceptional attention to detail
- Global mindset with the ability to collaborate and work with teams across different geographies
- Understanding of portfolio management basics, including portfolio optimisation concepts
- Exceptional Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
