JOB DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Tech Centre lead for formulations, Execute programs for R&D for plant related projects, Supply Chain or market-driven scale-up initiatives and commercial launches.
Actively contributes to Plant related NPI, Supply Chain and manufacturing operations including Corrections, costing, sourcing, and Gross Margin Improvements.
Contribute to new India TPM set up, provide technical support related to formulation transfer and sustenance measures. Participate all plant efficiency and plant capacity improvement initiatives.
Lead Technical Review Board (TRB) for all NPI projects, engage all stakeholders in TRB and drive for excellence.
Major Responsibilities
- Leads technical and commercial projects in the Jhagadia Plant
- Run TRB for all NPI projects and highlight technical challenges in product transfer in time
- Lead India R&D on new TPM set up and tech transfers/ offloading projects per plan
- Work closely with plant leadership to drive plant capacity improvement initiatives
- Lead Tech Centre, Engineering, Supply Chain, Packaging to transfer developed products/processes/packages to designated manufacturing operations in Jhagadia Plant.
- Improves plant costs, product margins, quality and business excellence goals in product and process related fields in Jhagadia Plant.
- Provide technical solutions to complex manufacturing challenges. Interacts with regulatory and, government agencies if needed by Jhagadia Plant.
- Recommend plant process to deliver the required product specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Lead scale-up and commercialization launches on time.
- Apply industry knowledge on sourcing to improve operations, expansion, and margin.
- Translate strategic technology process, and ingredient needs of the regional plants into executable long-range projects.
- Clearly communicate, report, feedback developments and results for effective and timely action.
- Ensure new hires on time and ensure technical trainings needs addressed for business critical programs.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Skill, Education, Experience
BSc / MSc in Food Science / Nutrition / Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related scientific field with 10-15 years progressive practical related experience sufficient to demonstrate equivalency. At least five years managerial experience. Expertise in formulation, product development, operation support, and commercial launch.
Proven project management and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with technical, manufacturing and marketing groups.
