Job description
This position is for a Senior SAP Basis Administrator, for the Global SAP ECC 6.0 System which is used as the Domestic Ledger system and SAP BW 7.x on NetWeaver platform is used for reporting. The SAP Senior Basis Administrator is responsible for the management of the SAP environment and integration with external application components. He / she responsible to configure, monitor, recommend and tune the SAP Application components to ensure every integration layers (ABAP, DB, Network, Storage & Backup Layer) are fully functional based on business requirements. The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems. Additional areas include the evaluation and design of interfaces, between SAP and external systems, maintenance of the SAP Data Dictionary and database objects, and manage the migration of SAP database and application configuration from development to production systems.

Responsibilities and duties:
- Daily administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning of SAP ECC 6.0, S/4 HANA, B4 HANA on HANA 2.0 platform withGRC or SOLUTION MANAGER integration
- Perform SAP software installation, upgrades, applying support packages, system copies/refreshes and installation add-on software components.
- Responding to and resolving infrastructure related incidents & problems
- Works with OS & DB Administrators for optimal SAP Performance
- Provide Support and Guidance to the other Project and Development teams during the build and QA cycle testing
- Provides local and remote site resiliency recovery processes across multiple SAP products to meet cyber resiliency requirements
- Provide all technical support to monitor proactively during critical processing period
- Perform system analysis across multiple layers and provide recommended approaches to improve system performance.
- Participate in multi-landscape design solutions, architecture recommendations, and strategies for continuous improvement.
- Maintain multi-landscape environments through remote copies, system refreshes, and transport management monitoring.
- Provide daily business process support for all the integrations from and to the SAP ECC, S/4 HANA. B4HANA and GRC applications and ensure all components are fully functional at all times
- Perform Daily System Health Checks on all SAP systems and do general troubleshooting and diagnostics checks on technical aspects of the system.
- Configure and Maintain Transport System Landscapes and operate Change Management Tools
- Provide Production Support 24x7 support with on-call responsibilities
- Work with SAP via OSS & Solution Manager to technical resolve problems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related business field: or equivalent experience.
- Working understanding of complex software and information technology solutions.
- 12-15+ years working with SAP administration with demonstrated experience related to support, maintenance, and implementation projects.
- 8+ years' experience with UNIX or LINUX platform preferably AIX 7.X or RHEL 8.X / 9.X operating systems
- 4 -5+ years of HANA 2.0 experience to support multi landscape system
- Able to work independently as well as coordinate with business and technical teams
- Good working knowledge using bash shell Scripting or python scripting will be value added but not essential
- Certified in any of the cloud platforms (AWS / AZURE / GCP / internal cloud solutions with third parties)
- Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to internal and external teams
Desired technologies:
S/4 HANA FP01/FP02 and B4 HANA with NetWeaver integration components (Web dispatcher, LDAP-plugins, SNC, SSO and SPNEGO) on RHEL / SUSE LINUX platform, ECC 6.0 on AIX 7.3 with Oracle 19c database. Experience on the IBM Power Platform with any cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and other vendor-based cloud solutions)
