Job Title: Academic Counsellor
Location: Remote Chennai
Job Type: Fulltime
Schedule: Day shift (Monday to Saturday)
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a motivated and dedicated Academic Counsellor to join our team. As an Academic Counsellor
you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students and parents regarding course selection
academic goals and overall educational planning. You will work closely with our team of educators and
administrators to ensure student success and satisfaction. This is a remote position allowing you to work from the
comfort of your own home.
Responsibilities:
Conduct oneonone counselling sessions with students and parents to understand their academic goals
interests and challenges.
Provide detailed information about AhaGuru courses programs and resources to help students make
informed decisions.
Assist students in selecting appropriate courses based on their individual needs abilities and career
aspirations.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of AhaGurus curriculum teaching methods and
assessment systems.
Monitor student progress and performance providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with AhaGurus teaching staff and administrators to address student concerns resolve issues
and optimize learning experiences.
Stay uptodate with the latest educational trends curriculum changes and college admission requirements.
Conduct workshops and informational sessions for students parents and educators on academic planning
college preparation and other relevant topics.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of counselling sessions student interactions and academic plans.
Assist in the development of counselling resources including guides handouts and online materials.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Education Counselling Psychology or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Proven experience in academic counselling preferably in an online education environment.
Strong knowledge of school curricula academic pathways and college admission processes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with students and parents
effectively.
Empathetic and supportive approach with the ability to understand and address individual student needs.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with online learning platforms and technologies.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
