Lead, US Taxation Brief about role: The Lead, US Taxation, you will be independently actively involved in end to end preparation and review company federal tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms. You will be consulting external Auditor for reviews only. Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state and local income tax returns and other business-related filings. Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
Qualification : Qualified CPA (preferably)
Experience : 5 – 8 Years
Relevant experience : 3 - 5 years of experience in
US taxation ,
company federal, State & Local tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms US GAAP Accounting and group audit
Job location : Bangalore (Hybrid Model)
Job Duties - Facilitate and manage independently the end to end preparation and review company federal tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms.
- Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state and local income tax returns and other business-related filings.
- Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
- Prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and other tax documents.
- Plan for and develop overall return calendar and coordinate timing and finalize with the consultant.
- Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
- Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
- Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects.
- Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Streamlining better integration with finance function of group companies, external auditors and various internal finance functions.
- Managing Audits – Statutory, Internal, Process etc.
- Handle complex ad hoc request with a short turnaround time and supplement such request with appropriate analysis and comments to support decision making
Desired Candidate Profile - Should be able to meet stringent deadlines
- Should have experience in US taxation, company federal, State & Local tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms US GAAP Accounting and group audit.
- Excellent communication skills and should be able to mentor/ coach team.
- Should be a person with Go –getter attitude and able to deliver results with minimum supervision.
- Big 4 experience is added advantage
- Expect high level of integrity and ownership at work and able to demonstrate excellence in performance.
- Should have an eye for detail and drive cost savings efforts.
- Good knowledge of NetSuite & MS – Office
