JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SR. ESTIMATOR
Job responsibilities
Ø Analyze drawing, specification and documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Ø Handing all tender requirements and inquiry and follow up on missing information, documents and clarifications.
Ø Review design options and recommend best solution, selecting and finalizing the systems.
Ø Preparation of value engineering options by maintaining the client requirement.
Ø Checking door/window/glazing schedules, BOQ and analytical section details.
Ø Estimate material and equipment costs to a level of detail matching the design documents.
Ø Identifying cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts.
Ø Selection of suitable system according to project specifications
Ø Identify labor and material costs and time requirements by researching proposals/related documents, conducting detailed analysis of existing project cost and availing inputs from purchase department.
Ø Evaluate drawings, site surveys, existing estimates, site conditions and other available materials and help determine the project cost estimate.
Ø Cost Estimation of complete system, prepare, finalize, submit tenders and obtain customer acceptance.
Ø Calculate material quantity requirements, utilize estimation software and prepare material take off.
Ø Prepare detailed cost estimate reports.
Ø Oversee the different stages of a company project to ensure that expenses follow the forecast plan.
Ø Assessing the levels of risk on a project.
Ø Present complex and detailed reports to management.
Requirements for this Role;
Ø Graduate degree / Diploma in Engineering (mechanical, civil, architectural)
Ø At least 10-15 years as Estimator in Aluminium Facade/ Aluminium/ Glass fabrication industry in a similar profile.
Ø Technical knowledge in Aluminium Systems windows,doors ,curtain wall,structural glazing, spider glazing,skylights (design,fabrication and installation)
Ø Excellent team management skills with experience of managing a team of estimators
Ø Strong Analytical skills and problem solving skills with an eye for detail
Ø Detail oriented,focused,organized with good interpersonal skills.
Ø Strong Time Management skills with ability to work under pressure and strictly adhere and deliver as per deadlines
Ø Outstanding mathematics and IT abilities and proficient in relevant software including MS Office Suite and Autocad
