- Responsible for supporting the Branch Operations ( Deposit and Loan Administration ) .To provide timely and cost effective transaction processing for all transactions , to include and not limited to transactions related to Clearing, Current / Savings Account, Domestic transactions ,Tax Payments and Fixed Deposits. Loans and Bank Guarantees.
- Responsible for ensuring and guiding the Line Manager /Department Head towards smooth and proper functioning of Branch Operations and that the operations are within the parameters of the local regulations, KYC, Anti-Money Laundering rules and applicable laws.
- To suggest and implement process / systems enhancement leading to operational efficiency while ensuring proper operational control so as to mitigate any operational risk.
- To ensure end to end completion/settlement of all transactions within the stipulated TAT.

- Deliver a high quality of service to enhance the function's reputation and meet customer's expectations.
- Support the/ Department Head by working in partnership with OPD and MGS, to enhance the operational efficiency of the department.
- Work in partnership with Relationship Managers and Product Offices to understand unique transaction requests, investigate solutions and support in developing transaction processing solutions.
- Work in partnership with Relationship Managers’ to resolve transaction issues and maintain the relationship with the Customers.
- Work in partnership with various departments to consult on amendments to operational procedures, if required.
- Support the team in any discussion with Auditors or Regulators on complex operations topics, including but not limited changes on transaction processes or workflows.
- Work in partnership with the wider operations team for information sharing and to ensure that transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

Other/ Control
- Check & Chop Books, Registers, Statements Returns, Certificates and all standardized and pre-approved communications of the department and forward the same to Line Manager/Chief Controller for verification and Chop/Signature as per their authority.
- Execute following transactions in discharge of the assigned responsibilities with the approval of authorized officer and as per the standard operating procedures/manual: RTGS/NEFT, Book Transfers, Outward Clearing, Inward Clearing, Income Tax Payments / Custom Duty & Fixed Deposit, Loan and Bank Guarantee.
- Ensure that all transactions under own area of responsibility are processed, confirmed and settled in a timely and accurate basis, in accordance to set procedures.
- Provide input into regional operations processes and workflows to deliver best practice, efficiency and mitigate risk.
- Review the input of daily banking transactions of less experienced members of the team and ensure their accuracy.
- Support the Department Head in ensuring a high level of customer service is adopted and escalate any unresolved items immediately.
- Support the investigation of any operations incidents within department, prepare recommendations to mitigate risk in the future and submit to management for review.
- Support in developing business processes for reducing processing time and removing redundancies, if any.
- Review updated processes, workflows and manuals with Operations department to deliver continuous improvement and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Review that KYC checks have been performed and escalated appropriately.
- Support any developmental projects relating to the department.
- Timely submission of Statutory & MIS reports as required.
- Support the Department Head in executing all daily tasks in adherence to Head Office policies, applicable legislation and departmental procedures through accurate and timely input and verification, in accordance to set procedures.
- Escalate any unresolved complex enquiries to more experienced members of the team.
- Carry out standard checks on all transactions prior to execution to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Complete administration activities including but not limited to filing / storage of documentation and data entry, wherever required.
- Develop recommendations for continuous improvement and support implementation.
- Support in managing the operational risk profile for the department.
- Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines.
