Job description
Educational Qualification MBA/MCA/MTech/PhD within Science, Informatics, Computer Science or related fields or Master is Science with focus on information technology. Certifications in IT Architecture, Delivery, Applications would be an added advantage. Experience 7-9 years of work experience with minimum 3+ years of experience of in similar role. Industry exposure from Life Science, CRO/CDMO and R&D set up in a must. Must have experience in handling Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) and LIMS (Laboratory information management system)
Purpose: The role will be to manage identification, development and implementation of R&D IT projects and services for PI Health Sciences. Closely work with the PIHS business / functional teams and users for providing in time solutions. Key Responsibilities Strategic: Ensuring participation and contribution to the new IT strategic initiatives of PIHS. Keep abreast with new developments in Information Technology in general and in new applications and technologies relevant for PIHS’s R&D activity. Partnering with the businesses to identify key needs and help them define the same. Identify and deliver appropriate technologies and solutions. Programs and Projects: Evaluate business needs and requirements with respect to various stages in the research and development in CRO/CDMO space. Lead IT deliveries i.e. design, development, customization, implementation and smooth running of all software solutions; required to facilitate and support the primary research & development and knowledge management processes as well as the support functions in an efficient and effective manner. Define project plans arrange approvals and monitor the control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems at PIHS. Maintaining the highest level of data-security as well as providing for systems and procedures to ensure business continuity. Effectiveness and sustainability of electronic laboratory notebooks like Perkin Elmer E-notebooks, Registration, Inventory and LIMS systems. Effective management of knowledge management tools and Literature Databases etc. Deliver business process initiatives on Microsoft SharePoint Online etc. Prepare and present regular status updates as and when required. People: Maintain close working relationships with the internal customers, departments in the company for smooth communication and coordination. Actively ask/provide feedback, identify and address improvement potential in the area of responsibility. Initiate user trainings for effective or optimized usage on IT tools and software's. Operational: Ensure high uptime / availability of IT resources, authenticity of information and delivery of IT services as per agreed SLAs with internal customer at site. Be involved in planning of IT hardware systems & software applications for construction of new infrastructure projects as and when required. Working under guidance of Corporate IT management in making sure that all PII internal (IT) policies are compiled with at all times. Build a continuous service improvement culture within IT function to ensure that it can continue to evolve as per the business needs. Define, maintain and improve site IT security policy, procedures and monitoring templates. Any other activities that may be assigned from time to time.Job tags
