Job description
- This role analyses Demand forecasting for 0-36 month horizon for all crops within APAC region of Vegetable seeds business along with the historical actual sales data. This role is an expert on the SOP forecasting process and the tools that support it.
- The role s primary responsibility is driving the consensus forecast discussions alongside sub-regional commercial demand planning teams by leveraging forecast accuracy, CropLock analysis.
- This role requires the dual ability to influence and align with commercial as well as product supply teams while also confidently leveraging data analytics. The role must develop trusted, confident relationships across APAC region in order to facilitate honest, data-driven discussions which lead to informed business decisions. The person in this role will be able to manage conflict and by doing so provide outcomes which are favourable to the business.
- The role will support SOP Reviews by communicating scenario plans developed in partnership with commercial and product supply to close gaps against the financial forecast, escalating business impacts to Commercial demand planning teams.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze 0-36 month consensus forecast based on, sales plan, supply impacts, and historical sales context and also internal factors.
- Confidently implement change amongst APAC teams while the new SOP process is rolled out in the region. This includes partnering in planning conversations through strategic segments and provide suggestions on phasing forecasts maneuvering different analytical tools like SFDC, SAP IBP, BO Reports.
- Develop different scenarios with Cluster Commercial demand planners to understand and communicate market and business pressure impact to the three-year operational plan and recalibrate consensus forecast.
- Develop scenarios with Product Supply to understand and communicate supply and inventory impact on the three-year operational plan and recalibrate the consensus forecast.
- Develop bridge with Finance to inform the gap to the financial target and summarize scenario plan options to close the gap. Evaluate scenario plan execution with metrics.
- Partner with Global Demand Planning to report the error, bias and inventory impacts of forecasts to improve future business processes and introduce any new analytical tools and processes as they become available.
- Participate in all relevant meetings that feed into the APAC SOP framework. Support executive summary and escalations to the SOP Reviews including demand and supply risk through forecast accuracy.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Minimum bachelor s degree (or equivalent) and 7+ years experience in demand management, row crops, vegetable or crop protection, IT, commercial and/or supply chain management.
- Strong business acumen. Experience in customer-facing sales roles combined with experience in predictive analytics / statistical modelling is a plus.
- Previous vegetables experience will be viewed favourably.
- Proven ability to lead change in a matrix culture.
- Objective reasoning and analytical skills to define strategic alternatives and deliver business value.
