Job Summary
The GLG team is looking to hire a Gurugram-based Senior Director of Client Solutions for Financial Services and Corporate business units. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, client-centric professional to lead, coach, and support the Global Business Units. This is a significant role where the individual is responsible for managing teams of service professionals across all related roles/functions overseeing Gurugram-based operations for all Business Units across the globe.
The Senior Director’s responsibilities include overseeing Client Solutions teams, helping to build strong client relationships, delivering excellent service (to clients and colleagues), maximizing GLG's operating performance (or improving internal team operations), and helping to achieve the region’s financial goals. The total organization size is 60+ with potential to reach 100+ across three primary shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating closely the Global Head of Capability Services in India, General Managers in Global Client Solutions teams, Global Finance, Global Human Resources, Solutions and Global Operations and Product teams.
To be a successful Client Solutions Leader, you should be innovative with strong leadership and managerial skills. You should be motivational, a good public speaker, confident, and goal oriented. Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Setting the strategy and driving the performance of the Gurugram Client Solutions team:
- Setting the strategy for all aspects of operations, including but not limited to, hiring, training, coaching, change management, productivity and performance management
- Liaising with all relevant stakeholders to ensure the implementation of the strategy
- Establishes effective governance mechanism across levels to drive effective performance management
- Overall oversight and management of team (60+) to meet or exceed individual and collective performance in-line with business goals and GLG compliance standards
- Providing ongoing coaching and development of the Client Solutions Manager layer through real-time feedback and problem solving
- Problem-solve and pilot in a data-driven and structured manner, make decisions, prioritize, and act with a sense of urgency, willing to experiment and fail fast
- Co-developing strategy and leading and coordinating Client Solutions efforts
- Developing the strategy for Client Solutions taking into account the need of BUs for their product offerings and regions and using it to inform or align with global efforts
- Anticipating and working through the interdependencies between various functions within the business (Network Management, Member Solutions, Project Support and other relevant areas) and proposing mitigations or solutions as required
- Communicate with many audiences, including other members of the leadership team, clients, and employees.
- Is an effective leader who can develop trusting relationships with their directs, stakeholders and wider team members who feel encouraged and motivated to bring their best every day
- Leads strategies, initiatives and pilots, end-to-end, that require significant cross-functional collaboration
- Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline processes and use of resources and materials
An ideal candidate will have the following:
- Proven track record in managing and improving the performance of large business operations/ business or investment research team with a passion for coaching and driving team toward meeting and exceeding targets
- Proven track record in developing strategies and initiatives related to change management, improving client outcomes and elevate team performance
- Self-starter with strong stakeholder management skills and ability to guide, influence and persuade stakeholders in a highly matrixed organisation
- Act with the highest integrity and professionalism in all their endeavours and lead others to do the same.
- Have creative and entrepreneurial mind-set; are interested in helping to build a business and to be compensated according to performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a heavy bias towards implementation and strong results orientation
- Previous experience in working with teams and stakeholders across geographies, preferably Americas, EMEA.
- Education - An undergraduate degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
