Job Summary:
- We are seeking a responsible Safety Officer to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. Your primary role will be advising on measures to minimize hazards and maintain a safe working environment. Vigilance in identifying violations is crucial.
- The ideal candidate is a dedicated individual who strictly adheres to OSH regulations. Your focus will be on preventive measures requiring attentiveness and proactive thinking. Detail orientation is essential especially during emergencies.
- Your objective is to establish a workplace that meets legal safety standards and cultivates a culture of prioritizing health and safety.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support the development of OHS policies and programs.
- Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)
- Communication with all levels of employees to ensure that all safety measures & legal requirements are compiled.
- Handle the Sub Contractor Management in terms of Health & Safety.
- Zero incident / Near miss result for his project.
- Direct Communication with workers for safety volumes.
- Conduct TBT.
- Co-ordinate and monitor the Permit to Work system (PTW).
- Maintain HSE documents.
- Ensure all checklists should be maintained.
- Ensure site compliance report should be done.
- To carry out inspection on site to check the status and effectiveness system.
- Ensure maintain all checklists should be maintained.
- HSE Training, HSE Awareness and development of Project HSE plan.
- Daily site inspection to observe physical condition of work and the work practices and procedure followed by workers.
- Coordinate, participate in the investigation of accident and near misses.
- Review, analyze accident, near misses incidents and proactively make corrective action recommendations.
- Maintain and monitor legal compliances under various HSE law (BOCW Act/Rules, Factories Act/Rules, Environmental Law).
- Ensure adequate availability and maintenance of personal protective equipment standards.
- Conducting Safety Committee meeting.
- Preparing HSE budget and conducting kick-off meeting for new contractors.
- Conducting Mock Drills.
Requirements:
- B.Tech/B.E in any specialization or Diploma in any specialization or B.sc in (Physics/Chemistry/Environmental science)
- Must have Advanced diplomaor or Graduation in Industrial Safety.
- IOSH/OSHA/NEBOSH Certification is added advantage.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of work experience as a Safety supervisor or Safety Officer.
