In this leadership role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the editorial strategy, leading a team of content creators, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, engaging content. Roles And Responsibilities

  • Editorial Strategy:
  • Develop and execute an overarching editorial strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Define the editorial calendar and content roadmap to meet audience and engagement targets.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of content creators, editors, and writers.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Content Creation:
  • Oversee the creation of engaging and high-quality content across various platforms.
  • Ensure content meets brand guidelines, tone, and voice.
  • Storytelling and Brand Messaging:
  • Develop and maintain a compelling brand narrative through effective storytelling.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all editorial content.
  • Quality Control:
  • Implement and maintain editorial standards for grammar, style, and accuracy.
  • Conduct regular content audits to ensure quality and relevance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and other teams to align editorial efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Coordinate with external contributors and agencies as needed.
  • Audience Engagement:
  • Monitor audience behavior and engagement metrics.
  • Implement strategies to increase reader retention and interaction.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 8 to 15 years of experience in editorial roles with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Leadership Skills:
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a creative team.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Editorial Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of editorial processes, storytelling, and content creation.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices.
  • Communication Skills:

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and industry trends.
