Job Title: UAV Co-Pilot
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Drone Technician to ensure the safe and effective operation of drones utilized in agricultural settings. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting pre-flight checks, monitoring flights, analyzing weather conditions, and maintaining detailed logs. Additionally, the technician will assist UAV pilots, troubleshoot equipment issues, and contribute to route planning and data gathering efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections on drones to guarantee safe and proper operation for agricultural tasks.
Analyze weather forecasts to assess flight feasibility and ensure the safety of operations.
Document pre- and post-flight logs accurately, detailing any issues or observations.
Monitor drones during flight to ensure adherence to designated routes and safety protocols.
Collaborate with UAV pilots to plan flight routes and optimize data collection strategies.
Navigate drones along predetermined paths, adjusting as necessary to achieve objectives.
Gather agricultural information and produce aerial data as required for analysis and decision-making.
Perform equipment testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance to uphold operational efficiency.
Prepare snag lists and ensure timely resolution of identified issues to minimize downtime.
Provide assistance and support to UAV pilots during operations as needed.
Primary Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Aeronautical Engineering.
Two to three years of relevant experience in drone operations and maintenance.
Proficient in English with strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
Knowledge of drone flying principles, regulations, and best practices.
Ability to conduct pre-flight checks and troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
Experience in analyzing weather forecasts to assess flight conditions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with UAV pilots and other team members.
Secondary Skills:
Drone flying experience is an added advantage, though not mandatory.
Familiarity with agricultural practices and terminology.
Proficiency in using software tools for flight planning and data analysis.
Ability to adapt to changing conditions and problem-solve in real-time.
Knowledge of UAV maintenance procedures and best practices.
Education and Background
BE / BTECH - Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Aeronautical
Candidate must have two to three years of relevant experience
Understanding of English is mandatory (Read / Write / Comprehend)
Drone Flying Experience is added advantag
