Sales and Revenue Generation: Your primary objective is to drive sales and maximise revenue for the e-commerce platform. This involves developing and executing strategies to increase product visibility, optimise pricing, and enhance conversion rates.
Product Listing and Optimisation: You are responsible for managing product listings on the platform. This includes creating compelling product descriptions, optimising keywords and tags for search engine optimisation (SEO), and ensuring accurate and up-to-date product information.
Inventory Management: You need to monitor inventory levels to ensure products are adequately stocked and available for purchase. This involves coordinating with suppliers, forecasting demand, and implementing inventory replenishment strategies to minimise stock outs and overstock situations.
Pricing Strategy: You are responsible for setting competitive prices that align with market trends and consumer demand. This may involve conducting market research, analysing competitor pricing, and implementing dynamic pricing strategies to maximise profitability.
Marketing and Promotions: You will work closely with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns, such as discounts, coupons, and advertising initiatives. This includes leveraging platform-specific marketing tools, analysing campaign performance, and optimising marketing spend.
Performance Monitoring and Analytics: It is crucial to track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of your strategies. You will use analytics tools and dashboards to monitor metrics such as sales, conversion rates, traffic sources, and customer feedback, and make data-driven decisions to improve performance.
Customer Experience and Satisfaction: Ensuring a positive customer experience is vital for e-commerce platforms. You will focus on optimising the user interface, improving site navigation, addressing customer queries and complaints, and continually enhancing the overall shopping experience.
Vendor and Supplier Management: You will manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms, and resolving any operational issues. This includes on boarding new sellers, monitoring seller performance, and maintaining a healthy and diverse product assortment.
Compliance and Policies: As an e-commerce manager, you must stay updated with platform-specific policies, guidelines, and industry regulations. You will ensure compliance with these standards and work to mitigate potential risks, such as counterfeit products or policy violations.
Continuous Improvement: E-commerce is a dynamic and competitive field, so you should actively seek opportunities for improvement. This involves staying informed about industry trends, adopting new technologies and tools, and implementing innovative strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
